IrvTALKS Series Continues: Update on the Drug Overdose Epidemic and How People Can Find Help
WBA members in attendance will earn 1 FREE Ethics credit on Monday, September 12, 2016, at Noon at the WBA Headquarters.
Plan to attend to hear what's new in our county and how you can help your clients, friends and/or family members.
Human Services Director Dirk Matson will address the national, regional, and Westmoreland County problem in terms of deaths, role of prescription drugs in the epidemic, and cheap heroin. He will also discuss the initiatives of the County and Pennsylvania to deal with these problems. He will conclude with the resources available to get help for these problems.
Judge Meagan Bilik-DeFazio will provide an update on the Drug Court as it nears its first year of implementation in the county.
